In the morning you will learn all the crochet techniques required to make a beautiful poppy which you will be proud to wear on the 1st July to commemorate the sad loss of life on the 1st July 1916.
Your beech or bamboo crochet hook, a variety of different red wools, black buttons and patterns will all be yours to take home so you can continue to make poppies at home.
In the afternoon you will learn how to turn beautiful soft merino wool into a very realistic felted poppy which you can turn into a brooch if desired.

You will also have the opportunity to share in enjoying Trench Cake during the day made from an original First World War recipe. Recipes available on request. Our little Great War Museum will also be open for you to look around during your breaks.
