We have thoroughly enjoyed our cosy stay in the Bothy - it truely has been the perfect place to have Christmas!!!  You've really thought of everything & been great hosts - even rescuing us from Woodhall Spa when it was too icy for taxis!  We'll be back!

Total perfection, in all ways...

Having read all the entries in your Visitors' Book it is hard to think of anything more to say, as I back up every praise & reccommendation wholeheartedly.  Total perfection, in all ways, that's how I would describe the Hayloft...The old LPs are ones I had as a girl...The bubbling copper bath is fit for a Fairy Tale Queen.  Many, many thanks Sherry & Irven, for having created such an inspirational retreat which I shall most certainly speak of in glowing terms to all I meet.

...couldn't have wished for a nicer place to spend my birthday

A real treat.  I turned 40 yesterday and couldn't have wished for a nicer place to spend my birthday.  Peaceful, organic and warm.  The snow was an added bonus...Merry Xmas, K & A.  I loved the box bed, the tv in the bathroom was great!  Thanks alot, we'll be back. R

The hamper and vegetables were delicious - all the better for being sourced locally.

It was a delight to stay in this fabulous old building.  The way in which it has been preserved for the future with sustainability in mind has given us, a couple in our 20's, some food for thought as to how we would like our next house to be.  Just being in the house in late autumn makes you appreciated how well insulated the building is...The interior is so sympathetic to the original building, while having some welcome mod-cons and features.  The hamper and vegetables were delicious - all the better for being sourced locally.  We felt at ease and relaxed during our stay and what the owners have achieved here with the development is accommodation fit for the 21st century - it was much like a home from home stay with everything we needed at our fingertips.  It has been wonderfully relaxing staying here and we have every intention of retuning for another break.  Thank you for your kind and helpful hospitality...

Please accept our most heartfelt thank you for your kindness and generosity.  This trip was so last minute and you have been ever so helpful.  We have had the most amazing time here. It's such a fantastic well thought-out place! There's nothing you haven't thought of!  This place has everything!! Short break to celebrate 15 years together and to relax, no real plans.  This place is as amazing as it looked on the website, I'm very glad I found it in my last minute search...!  The attention to detail, choice of pieces and keeping the feel of the original building is fantastic.  Everything has been thought of, you expect linen and towels but the number of times we've gone somewhere and there's no washing-up liquid, kitchen towels etc.  Love the bathroom, and everything is so comfy we don't want to leave!  Thanks.

Dear Sherry and Irven, We have had an amazing time!  You couldn't have been more helpful, the little chocolates and all the other touches were beautiful!  We loved playing Monopoly... and especially reading the guide books and the books on how the Stables came to be!  The Hot Tub was unbelievable and the food... the food!  We've eaten it all!  We highly recommmend a visit to Lincoln and Brown's Pie Ship.  Going up Steep Hill... Well it really was steep!  And all the little choclate shops everywhere...Lincolnshire is the county for chocolate!...We will be back!

I loved watching telly in the bath...

I had a really really good holiday!  My mum said I've never been so clean.  I loved watching telly in the bath and sitting in the steam shower.  The bed was cool cos we could watch tv but I fell asleep as it was so comfy.  We went to the workhouse [Southwell], it was a bit sad.  I want to come back here again.

...can't wait until we come back.

The Hayloft was sooo Good.  I had one of the Best Holidays ever.  The Box Bed well what can I say.  You just couldn't get me out of it in the morning and I actually went to bed early for once as it was soooo comfy.  The bath was also very nice and Relaxing.  I'm going to try and persuade my parents to get one.  I also used the chocolate shampoo my hair smelt lovely the next day.  Thank you for a wonderful stay, can't wait until we come back.

Thank you Sherry & Irven, all the extra little touches and attention to detail have made our holiday so special.  We came here on a recommendation but really did not expect the Hayloft to be so nice.  Had some great days out but it was always a pleasure returning 'home' at the end of the day.  We had a great evening in with the albums (the kids had never seen a turntable in action before...so funny).  The hot tub under the stars - WOW!  Can't wait to return in 2011.  Thanks again and Best Wishes.

...I have to say the Bothy is superb!

When choosing a holiday cottage it's always difficult to know whether or not you've made the right choice, I have to say the Bothy is superb!  We've had an absolutely wonderful week enjoying the area and the cottage, from the fresh flowers and goody tray on arival, the casserole we made from your delicous fresh vegetables to a final meal in the Penny Farthing last night...  Thank you.

What a wonderful week we have had at this truly special hideaway.  A warm welcome awaited us with your very generous hamper and the tasty treats from the garden.  We cooked up a roasted vegetable pasta with these!  Lincolnshire is definitely one of the most friendly places we have visited on our many holidays in the UK.  Recommendations for your future guests are:  the coffee shop/Janet's Tea Rooms at Woodhall Spa, Brown's Pie Restaurant in Lincoln, the Penny Farthing at Timberland and the very friendly Martin Moor Golf Course.  Thank you for all the nice touches - the bathroom products were lovely to try.  I am sure we will return to this very friendly county and have the chance to stay at your lovely cottage again.

What a find!  A real gem of a "hay loft"!  Everything thought of!  Lovely warm and realxing, right down to the wonderful hamper and all the other goodies left for us.  One thing not enough of - "time".  Thank you so much, hope to return next year.

Dear Sherry & Irven, As we came up the drive and parked outside 'The Bothy' we realised this was going to be a very special place - how right we were.  Thank you - we have enjoyed every minute here.  Such a cosy and beautifully appointed pleace to stay.  We have been far and wide from Grimsby to Boston and even tracked down the muesli from the Maud Foster Mill....All the goodies including the fruit & vegetables were most welcome and the Apple wine was very good.  We really do hope to see you again.

My daughter & I loved the lotions & potions...

What a lovely place. Were down visiting relatives so it was ideal.  Although it was a hard job to get my children out of the bathroom!!!  My daughter & I loved the lotions & potions.  The boys were in heaven watching 'Match of the Day' whilst in a bubbly bath!  Will definitely be telling everyone in Scotland about 'the Hayloft'.  Hope to be back.

Dear Sherry & Irven, we have had a very enjoyable few days trawling the Anglo-Saxon /Norman church towers of Lincolnshire.  The Bothy was the perfect place to return to each evening; cosy, comfortable and very well-equipped.  The bath was particularly welcome after long days...Thank you for making us so welcome.

A wonderful place to stay - every need catered for!  After a week we are recharged & relaxed. Thank you.  We would highly recommend the cycle ride into Lincoln [along the riverbank] to look at the artwork along the way.  The circular walk to Dunston and a pub lunch is also a worthy trip.  We even managed an open air evening production of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream!! Fantastic!

We chose the accommodation rather than the County.  However, we were equally delighted by both.  The wolds, the people, the bath!  The hamper, 'Steep Hill', the jacuzzi bath! Gibralter Point, horizons, the sauna!  Now feel relaxed, pampered and ready to do it all again.

What a fabulous place the Hayloft is!  Awesomely appointed, and no detail overlooked!  Here with my wife and 6 year old and 3-year old daughters.  6 year old loved the bath and all of us liked the bed-nook.  Very comfortable stay and will be widely recommended.

Our wedding night!  What a wonderful 'one-off' - thank you so much - miles better than a 5* hotel.  Your attention to detail is outstanding and the 'Hayloft' is quite beautiful.  So enjoyed the jacuzzi at the end of a long day!  Thank you for the card.

As a wheelchair user my wife found the Bothy met all of her needs.  Sherry & Irven had thoughtfully re-arranged the furniture to give the maximum circulation space, so the 'chicane' betweeen lounge and kitchen was the only route needing extra care. The quality and quantity of the goodie bag, vegetables etc was first rate. Thank you.

What a Find!!

What a find!!  Already interested in organic and ecological sustainable lifestyle.  This will focus our approach when restoring our Victorian Lodge which we are in the process of buying.  An inpsiration - even down to the hair shampoo!!

Many thanks.  We've had a fantastic stay in the Hayloft.  The only thing I could possibly think to complain about is that the weather has been so warm we didn't have a chance to use the wood burning stove!  We'll have to come back in the winter.  All the food, booze & goodies have been gratefully scoffed, with thanks!  ...And the bath....can I take it with me?  Thanks again.

'Perfect'

Thank you for a most fab stay in the Hayloft, everything had been thought of and so much more...that bathroom!  A holiday in Lincolnshire has offered our family so many great days out from Castles to Windmills and seasides to seesaws (a must for all 21 month olds).  Ena really loved meeting Angel the Hairy Horse and feeding the Lambs at Rand Farm, then coming back to the Hayloft for a swing in the garden followed by a very bubbly bath while watching CBBees under a twinkling ceiling.  'Perfect'

Everything has been thought of...

We have had a fantastic week in the beautiful Hayloft, despite having two very ill little boys with us!  It is not easy to relax and unwind with young children around, but we did, as a direct result of the luxurious surroundings.  We enjoyed all of the extras which made the stay more than 'the ususal'.  Everything has been thought of - the bathrobes, the fresh veg and bsket of goodies, the Christmas tree and all the little touches here and there which make the Hayloft so special.  Many thanks....
