...sharing chilled champagne in the fabulous copper bubble bathE & K, December 2014
A Birthday Break. We found this fab place in Sawday's book. It's been fabulous. Even a Christmas tree, local wine and all the goodies to you added as extras have made this weekend away one of the best we've ever had.
We did Lincoln Christmas market - magical but oh so busy! And today we are off Antique hunting.
Highlight of the weekend, sharing chilled champagne in the fabulous copper bubble bath.
Tremendous - we will come back!
Practically Perfect in Every Way...C & C, November 2014
Practically Perfect in Every Way... Thank you.
...it was the perfect relaxing retreat for us - cosy... beautiful and welcoming.L & E, October/November 2014
We have had a wonderful time here at the Bothy - it was the perfect relaxing retreat for us - cosy (not that we needed much warmth with the record high October teperatures), beautiful and welcoming. We very much enjoyed exploring the area though due to the charm of the Bothy ended up spending much more time relaxing "at home" than planned. The welcome hamper and all the generous little "extras" were very much appreciated. We had a delicious soup from the home grown veg and enjoyed cooking in the very well appointed kitchen. From a bottle of wine to bath robes - we really could not have wanted for anything else! The highlight might have been the bath - it was amazing!!!!
The Bothy really and truly exceeded our expectations and we could not have imagined how delightful a stay it could be!
Thank you for being such welcoming, attentive and thoughtful hosts.
The Bothy is quiet, cosy and quirky.T & C, October 2014
Thank you for a wonderful week. The Bothy is quiet, cosy and quirky. Colin loved the wood burner, and it was fun getting to grips with the range. The first night meal was fantastic, just what we needed after the long drive. The vegetables went a long way, on the final meal they were combined with the butternut squash into a yummy soup.
Woodhall Spa was lovely, with a number of visits to the 'Bakery & Delicatessen' and we nearly didn't visit anywhere else, but Horncastle and the Water Railway Walk did make it in. We are looking forward to a return visit so htat we can explore even more. Thank you again.
Thank you for all the little extras that made an enormous difference in their thoughtful inclusion.J & H, October 2104
Thank you for a warm and extremely sufficient welcome to us on our first visit. I believe it is safe to say we will be back! It was truly a home from home few days and very easy to relax in. ...the perfect place for recovery...C & B, September 2014
Also, our third here at the Bothy (and 3 times in the Hayloft!); a wonderful few days of autumn sunshine. Walks on the Fens, the Wolds and along the beach. The garden here is a perfect sun trap, warm enough to enjoy breakfast each morning. I love the warmth and distinctive smell here - it will keep bringing us back to the perfect place for recovery. Thank you, as always... PS The flowers were beautiful!

This was our 3rd time staying in the Bothy and it didn't disappoint. It was the perfect weekend getaway, where you can just relax and unwind. Sherry's first night meal is a must, a lovely meal and plenty to spare! The hamper is always a real treat and the little touches make staying here such an individual stay.

A most enjoyable stay for 6 nights to explore Lincolnshire. The 'Bothy' has everything you could possibly want including an exceptionally appointed kitchen. We enjoyed the 1st night meal on arrival the the 'set' fire ready to go and very warm welcome from Sherry.
What can we say - apart from Gorgeous!S & S, May 2014
WOW! What can we say - apart from Gorgeous!
We participated in the crochet course with Sherry and have come away with a skill to keep us busy on 'football nights' & the long commute.
All the fresh, organic, home made produce was delightful and the home cooked food for lunch was yummy!
Have already suggested to friends & family and want to return for another course.
Thank you Sherry & Irven for sharing your Hayloft and Home.

We visited some lovely places in the area and would recommend; Rand Farm - whatever your age! Alford windmill, Louth, Horncastle and a lovely walk along the beach at Skegness (early before the tourists arrive).
You have a fabulous place here and you have thought of everything; we'll certainly recommend! Thanks again.

A beautiful cottage in a very peaceful location...K, M, & R, April 2014
A beautiful cottage in a very peaceful location. The hamper and goodies were excellent and very welcome. Really enjoyed the first night meal of Lincolnshire sausages and homegrown vegetables, followed by a huge and gorgeous apple crumble which lasted for a good few servings. The sauna was good but lying in a large bath staring at the stars was very relaxing.
Good location for our trips out to Tattershall Castle, Woodhall Spa, Lincoln, RAF Coningsby and Belton House. Would recommend eating out at the Village Limits at Woodhall Spa.
Overall, a very relaxing break at a beautiful cottage. Will definitely return.

Cannot recommend any local restaurants as we ate .ni the Hayloft every night - cooking up the delicious vegetables left for us! Elliot our 5 month old son even enjoyed a pureed version of the tasty vegetables...Mmm
Made the most of our last night by having a full on pamper - bubble bath jacuzzi - sauna - steam shower - bottle of fizz - log fire burning. Safe to say we were so relaxed we were asleep by 9!!
My 7th Anniversary present has been amazing & we hope to return soon. Thank you so much.

The bathroom is amazing!C & B, February 2014
Thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay at the Hayloft. It was so nice to get away from work/stress for a few days to this home away from home. We loved the snug, and spent evenings in there reading or watching a film, whilst the fire kept us warm.
The bathroom is amazing! I would have quite happily spend the whole 3 days in there!
The basket of goodies that met us on arrival was a lovely touch that instantly made us feel welcome (the chocolates in particular). We can't wait to come back again and will definitely recommend it to our friends and family.
Thank you for a lovely few days.

Thank you Sherry & Irven for a fantastic stay at the Hayloft. From the moment we arrived it has felt like a home away from home. The fire has kept us warm, the basket of fruit and veg has kept our tummies full, and the bath has kept us soo relaxed. We really enjoyed staying here, it was just like a home that you can relax in. I loved the bath, sauna & shower - I just had to use it every day. The standard of everything is excellent. As I enjoy cooking I loved the range. It was lovely and warm and the beds were very comfortable. Thank you so much. PS. loved the Faith-In Nature products, have gone on-line and ordered some.
This was our first time in Lincolnshire and we were left wondering why we've never been before.L & G, January 2015
We came for a relaxing break and have had exactly that. The Hayloft is wonderful and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. The extras and attention to detail make it stand out from the crowd. I especially liked the bath and 'twinkling' lights. We also thoroughly enjoyed the first night meal... This was our first time in Lincolnshire and we were left wondering why we've never been before. We loved the wide open spaces (and empty roads!). We enjoyed a low-key tour of RAF Scampton and had a couple of good meals in the Penny Farthing.
The Hayloft had everything we needed and more...it was the extra touches...S & C, January 2014
We have had such a lazy, cosy, warm, relaxing week! We came away for a post-Christmas time-out and that's exactly what we got. The Hayloft had everything we needed and more...it was the extra touches (the veggies, the flowers, the snug, the sauna, the welcome basket etc) that make the Hayloft stand out compared to other places we've stayed. We had some great long walks and a lovely day trip to Lincoln. Thank you Sherry & Irven for being so kind and welcoming. We will definitely be back!
I don't think we have ever left a vacation feeling so mellow and relaxed.D & R, Dec & Jan 2014
What a fantastic week we have had here in the Hayloft. The most relaxing Christmas by far and I even turned 40 here on Christmas Eve. Rob LOVES the nook...and the stove...and the bath...and the ceramic frying pan...and the fire - he would move in if he could handle the commute to Harrogate! Rob is also amazed that he only hit his head once on the door!!
I don't think we have ever left a vacation feeling so mellow and relaxed. Thank you for all the thoughtful things you had awaiting us on our arrival and for the beautiful country sanctuary you have created. I am sure we will be back.
