We love the balance between comfort and sympathy for the environment...
G & J, August 2010Thanks for a relaxing place to stay. We love the balance between comfort and sympathy for the environment. We love the county and have recharged our batteries ready to fight the good fight again. Bathrooms and finish is second to none. Many thanks
...what a wonderful idyllic retreat!
D, C & F, August 2010Thank you for our stay at the Bothy - what a wonderful idyllic retreat! We came away for a relaxing weekend and that's exactly what we got.
For cyclists travelling light the vast range of provisions was a delight.
M & J, August 2010Just a quick thank you for a wonderful stay. Beautifully equipped and furnished Bothy. For cyclists travelling light the vast range of provisions was a delight. It seems like no amount of effort or expense has been spared in making this a memorable holiday experience. And for a cyclist frightened of hills the lanes and byways of Lincolnshire are highly recommended.
We are already planning our return!
P, D & S, August 2010Thank you for providing such a relaxing idyl. We all very much enjoyed our stay. The facilities are fantastic and provide the ultimate in luxury. We loved the welcome trug and groceries. Your garden is inspiring. I have taken loads of photos to show my Year 2 and 3 pupils what can be done with our school raised beds. We are already planning our return!
...'we're coming back here again!'...
S & K, August 2010Our first thoughts upon arrival - 'we're coming back here again!' The welcome hamper and wonderful wooden bath were worth the admission on their own. Sherry and Irven have been the most perfect hosts imaginable and their dedication to creating such a special environment is visible in every corner, wall, table, chair, picture, fixture and fitting in every room. Magical. P.S. The sausage and roast veg were an absolute treat.
Thank you for the lovely food and the lettuces we scrounged from your garden!
N, A, S & J, August 2010Me and my sister zara really enjoyed staying here. We loved the bathroom with the pretty lights and jacuzzi. We also liked sleeping in the box bed. Thank you for the lovely food and the lettuces we scrounged from your garden!
All the comforts of home plus great luxuries...
D & A, August 2010Enjoyed our stay in the Hayloft very much. All the comforts of home plus great luxuries. My husband was in seventh heaven touring around finding WWII airfields. I naviagated him using good old OS maps. Only got lost a few times! Sherry's friend, Mike, brought some of his WWI memorabilia around ... Lovely man and very knowledgeable. This was our first experience of Lincolnshire and everyone we met was very friendly. Also loved the apple wine!
...sitting on the patio, late summer afternoon, with tea and cakes overlooking the vegetable patch...
V & S, August, 2010Having read the comments of previous occupiers of the Bothy what can I say but to agree that the Bothy is a great place to stay. Ideally situated to visit WWII sites, each with their own personal stories of the men and women who worked there, the beautiful city of Lincoln with its cathedral and castle and Steep Hil!!! Plenty of walks and Gibralter Point for wildlife and sea views and then back to the Bothy - sitting on the patio, late summer afternoon, with tea and cakes overlooking the vegetable patch or sitting in the swing chair looking up on a clear blue sky with an occasional reminder that we are near an airbase. Sherry & Irven are perfect hosts, nothing's too much trouble and you feel that you have known them for a long time. The hamper and little touches such as the home grown veg and welcoming flowers do make such a difference and just when you think oh if only I had...you open a cupboard or a drawer and there it is exactly what you wanted. A truly magical place.
The little touches make it the perfect getaway
H & R, August 2010Today we have to leave but don't want to go home! Thank you so much for making our stay so peaceful, restful and enjoyable. We've really enjoyed using the garden and, of course, the bath. The little touches make it the perfect getaway - the welcome hamper, the toiletries, the bathrobes, the herbs in the garden - you have thought of everything. We shall certainly be telling all our family and friends about the Manor House Stables. We can't wait to return.

J & J, May 2010Well! We did not think we could better our stay a few weeks ago in the Bothy. But this (the Hayloft) was even more relaxing!!! We both absolutely love the place and intend to return as often as we can. Cosy, Welcoming, Plentiful, Generous...words cannot explain how wonderful it is. We will return!!
The Hayloft was the perfect place for the Bridal party to relax before the wedding and a magaical setting for photographs!
Mr & Mrs R, May 2010We were married on 1st May. The Hayloft was the perfect place for the Bridal party to relax before the wedding and a magaical setting for photographs! We returned here after our wedding reception and cannot think of a better place to start our married life together, and a wonderful place to relax and reflect after all the stress and excitement of planning a wedding. Thank you for giving us the best possible ending to a perfect day!
The Hayloft is just wonderful...
J & T, April, 2010Thought I'd died and gone to heaven! The Hayloft is just wonderful, the welcome goodies have been scrummy. Really will come back again and bring my personal effects so I could live here! Sherry has been a star and talking of stars, the hot tub last night was just the best ever experience....Would also love to come in the winter so can use the log fire. Lincolnshire is lucky to have the Manor House Stables.
Z, A & L, March 2010This has been the best short break we've ever had. Short travel time; home-cooked meal upon arrival; spotless accommodation and facilities with EVERY USEFUL item thought of. It felt indulgent, luxurious but comfortable too. All the amazing added-value extras made us feel so special...the shampoo, conditioner, soaps, chocs, flowers, sausages, eggs, cheese, veggies, the hamper...I could go on...We have all enjoyed the copper bubbly bath, etc. We watched Aviator, cooked a pigeon & pheasant stew, lit woodburner, biked to Woodhall Spa and enjoyed exploring the gorgeous woods on the bike. Did a fab walk in the 'Walking through Lincolnshire's History' with Hugh Marrows (Walk 20) 6 miles roundtrip from the Hayloft! Stopped at the carved oak bench mentioned - which is in a little coppice and ate picnic lunch, it was blissful. The final thing I'd like to say is just a huge Thank you. You've created an experience and please keep doing everything! Lincolnshire is lucky to have the Manor House Stables.
