On today’s creative course you will work with stoneware clay to make a beautiful ceramic Green Man plaque. The Green Man is ancient with many theories as to its origin. It predates Christianity but has come to represent the magic and power of nature in the modern world. Often seen in churches carved into stone and wood he appears as a face surrounded by leaves and foliage. The plaque is created by making a face and then surrounding it with leaves, berries and flowers. The workshop will be led so that the work is completed a stage at a time but will give plenty of scope for creativity. Finished work will be kiln fired and frost proof. Suitable for beginners and for those who would like to learn new skills to produce a unique plaque to display inside or in the garden.
