Today we will celebrate lavender by using it in cooking and baking. You will start by making and drinking lavender & mint tea with plum bread & lavender jelly while we discuss the wonderful properties of lavender. This will be followed by a day of making and baking which will include lavender & lemon biscuits, lavender sparkling wine, focaccia bread with lavender, lavender-infused jam, dark chocolate filled with lavender ganache, honey, yogurt and lavender cake with lavender jam glaze and my now well known (and well loved!) apricot sauce with lavender and rosemary! Lunch will include home-made roast vegetables served with lavender sauce and other lavender delights!
Tutor: One of Sherry’s passions is lavender. Having attended several Aromatherapy courses, she has a great interest in using essential oils in various ways including in bath and beauty products as well as in her cooking. She is happy to tell you everything she knows about lavender – how to grow, use and enjoy this wonderful herb.
