Healthy Eating Week – Wartime Recipes – 10th June
June 10 @ 9:30 am - 5:30 pm
£90
New Course! There is so much to be learnt from the creativeness of the women who lived through WW2 and had to ‘make do’ in so many ways. Today’s course will look at how they cooked despite rations through these war years. You will be taken through a range of recipes which will include Woolton Pie, Beetroot pudding, Carrot buns, Nut roast, Oatmeal sausages, Eggless Fruit Loaf, the National Loaf, Potato Bread and Carrot & Apple jam plus more! And all this for you to take home along with recipes and lots of information. We now have a small exhibition based on Homefront living in the second world war that you can have a look at during your breaks.
A WW2 lunch will be served using some of the recipes you have made during the day. There will also be plenty of information about how people were able to survive on the rations they had and how they ‘made do’..
